War

I am currently losing a war against Satan. I just noticed that I was at war with Satan the whole time...
Must stand... fight... win...
To do so, I got to stay focused on Jesus Christ. I think I might have forgotten the greatness and holiness of Him, and His sacrifice for me.
Must come to the cross... humbly and with a heart that has repented...
How to overcome the flesh? Just how? It's hard.. really hard..
It's not like God is going to deliver me in a flash; I got to put some effort, a real, vehement effort.
I can do this.

remember His grace is eternal and that no matter how tempting it is the things that the world offer us are only temporary. In the end it will be so much more than worth it. praying for you paul, keep fighting!

Hey Paul
you know me being a guy i go through the same thing

and i realize one of the things that i use to fall into was that once i would sin i would feel really guilty and try to use that guilt to try and get me to stop. Or sometimes i would keep a bible infront of me or something. I'm not saying keeping scripiture or somethign near you isnt good, but next time you lose to sin, dont feel guilty...Feel releieved. Seriously, after you pray a prayer of forgiveness, pray a prayer of hapiness and relief. I think we sometimes lose sight of the fact that we dont ahve to win over our sins. Sure we're bound to fall here or there, but when we say we have the victory, i mean that has to be real. We arent chained by sin, we're free. I'm trying not to say phrases or words you've heard all the time becuase i really want you to feel that freedom that even when you do fall, dont feel guilty, look at the cross and just be happy in christ
I dont know if my situatino is exactly like yours, but if you ever wanna talk about it, im there cuase i know i can relate

I think Jonathan meant well, but he was wrong about a few things (especially: "next time you lose to sin, dont feel guilty...Feel releieved.") ...I'll talk to him about it later.

Paul, it is actually good that you feel guilt after sinning. The unsaved have no guilt after sinning. Many times, the Holy Spirit brings conviction so that you could repent and receive forgiveness.

Any case, I did sense something was off with you and I am concerned...even with your interactions with others. Darkness, resentment, and anger are easy to spot and very self-destructive. I will talk to you soon. Till then, focus on the grace of God and stay in His Word.

Hoping for the best for you, in Christ.
